Today, I wanted to talk about the return on investment for leadership development. I’m seeing a disturbing trend, around the commitment, or lack thereof, for supporting the development of our leaders who, in turn, support the development of our people.

I shared these ideas in a LinkedIn Live earlier this week. We know there is value in growing our leaders. Engagement, productivity, performance, retention, contribution, initiative and the list goes on. Yet, often there is no way of measuring this within organisations, which makes it challenging to create a business case for leadership development.

So let me share with you a way to start thinking about how you can determine the commercial value of investing in your leaders.
