This week I have been in New York attending the 20th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. The Stevie® Awards for Women in Business are the world’s premier business awards for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees, and the organisations they run. It is like the Academy Awards for business.

I am so delighted to share my results from the Stevie Awards:

I am celebrating. I am enjoying the moment. I am making the most of it. I am basking in the warmth of knowing that I earned these awards. And yes, I am telling the world, because not only are these awards an endorsement of the work that I do, not only are they recognition of being among the best in a world-class group of peers, they are so much more.

Most overnight successes take more than overnight.

For me, these Stevie Awards are so much more than a quick win. They are also a recognition and acknowledgement of:

➤ hard work

➤ focused effort

➤ clarity of purpose

➤ vision for the future

➤ strategic thinking

➤ highs

➤ lows

➤ growth mindset

People ask me what does winning a Stevie Award mean?

So very much more than standing on a stage and receiving applause.

Have you ever achieved a significant milestone and wanted to acknowledge it to yourself, to recognise yourself, to take a moment to soak it all in, because it has been so much more than just that moment in time?

I’d love to know your thoughts.
